Tap on the side!
Tap on the bottom!
Use a knife!
Hold it sideways!
No.
The problem is that the ketchup is stuck at the bottom and hitting it too hard causes too much ketchup to plop on your plate. The best solution is the following…
1) Keep the lid on the bottle.
2) Turn the bottle up-side-down.
3) Shake it, tap it hard. (No worries about too much plopping out!)
4) Once the ketchup has moved from the bottom to the top of the bottle, open the lid and ketchup will gently pour out.
Just like magic~

Your first blog entry since moving to you own place/getting your first job in NYC and it's about the best way to get ketchup out of the bottle?? Seasonal affective disorder is no excuse for this. Lame. Give us drama, romance, excitment, adventure...even if it's in dream format. Art, culture, or social commentary would also suffice.
PS: Yo Fatty, the best option is to not use ketchup at all because it's mostly processed sugar.
